My Experience With Bey

Today. I saw. Beyoncé Giselle mothafuckin’ Knowles. Perform.

It was absolutely wonderful. Watching her on YouTube or TV is one thing. Watching her through a screen hides the illusion of what she can actually do. Watching her dance was awe inspiring. She can move her body like no one else in the world. And you can’t even argue it.

And her voice. She brought my friend to tears during her remarkable performance of 1+1. She let’s her voice wrap around a piece so smoothly that it would seem that it was how the song was originally written. She is truly the greatest performer of our time. And everyone should watch her live once in their lifetime.

What I find extremely disrespectful, however, are people who claim to be fans but stood their and slandered her name and credibility. Don’t call her a diva because she wasn’t out for mic check. And don’t call it typical. Preparing to perform can be extremely nerve-wracking.

And a diva wouldn’t have gone up to a large group that was in the arena after the show and say hello to them: just appreciating the fact that there were so many people who didn’t get to watch her perform. She loves every fan of hers. And her real fans love her unconditionally.

PEACE. LOVE. BEYONCÉ.
